The name of the band orginated from their music being "broken inside", because of personal relationships. When Brokencyde started promoting their music online, Phat J and Antz joined them to complete their line up.
They toured with Breathe Carolina, The Morning Of, Karate High School , and Drop Dead Gorgous.
After performing their single FreaXXX on MTV, they signed with Suburban Noize Records and realeased the album BC13 on November 11th 2008 during a promotion with the retail chain hot topic.
