Good Charlotte is from Waldorf Maryland they formed their band on April 1st 1996.
They took their name from a child's book called "Good Charlotte: The Girls of Good Day Orphanage.
The major start of their career was in 2000, it was a self-titled album, with three singles: "Little Things"
"Motivation Proclamation" and "Festival Song".
The Album The Young and the Hopeless sold about 4.9 million albums in 2002, that was the album that put them into fame. Along with the song "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous". It was on the top of both pop and rock charts all around the world.
Other singles from that album were:
  • The Anthem
  • Girls & Boys
  • The Young and Hopeless
  • Hold On
Some of the influences for that album were Blink-182, Sum 41, NOFX, Social Distortion and Green Day.
That album received the triple platinum by the RIAA.

The album Chronicles of Life and Death was released in 2004. This album was mixed emotions from the bands fans. That album only sold around 2.2 million copies. Hit singles from that album are:
  • Predictable
  • I Just Wanna Live
  • The Chronicles of Life and Death
  • We Believe
This album charted the US Hot 100, the hit was "I Just Wanna Live".

The Album Good Morning Revival started in 2004 then finished in 2007. This album sold around 4.5 million copies.

  • Keep Your Hands off My Girl
  • Dance Floor Anthem
Then the last album they have is Cardiology , from 2009 until now. It was released on November 2nd, 2010.  There singles from that album were :
